It's official....

.....Quela can count!  Maya is playing a game with her, where Quela stands up leaning on the stool (she can't stand up unaided yet) and Maya counts "One, two, three" and then Quela throws herself backwards onto the beanbag. Well, not only does Quela know that she has to fall after the count of "three"..she is now doing it on her own. She makes three noises...sort of trying to speak..but can't get the words yet..and then she falls. She  is doing this again and again and thinks it's great fun!
So she is sort of counting, is she not?

oh and she is also saying her own version of "standing" when she tries to stand. She has been saying her own version of "walking" when I help her walk, too. No one else would understand it, but we all do.

Her sign language is still limited to "more" and "apple"..because I haven't taught her anything else. But she also says both words, clear as day!  And now she is making sentences and saying "More mama" when she wants a feed. This can be very annoying because she wakes in the night, looks at me with those big brown eyes and says ever so sweetly "more mama?" in a questioning way and she looks so cute with her hair all crumpled from having just woken up..and I'm sooooooooo tired but can't say no.
