Randomness

Today we tried to make hair dye. I boiled up some raspberries, red onions, coffee and salt and we ended up with some red "juice". It's sitting on the window sill because no one is brave enough to pour it on their heads.
I will tomorrow but my hair is too dark. I doubt it will work anyway. This all started because Maya bought some wash in/ wash out red dye at Boots and she washed it in, and it washed out..in other words..it did bugger all!
Quela had a go at this the other day. I wasn't feeling too well and I was sitting here at the computer staring into space, and I had left Quela with a bowl of raspberries. When I looked round I saw that she had smeared them in her hair and all over her clothes and legs and arms and ears and up her nose ...just about everywhere! I thought of taking a picture but then thought that it looked too gruesome! lol
I managed to get it all off with a wet cloth, which is why I think this hair dye lark won't work. But we have had fun boiling stuff up...something satisfying about making vibrant colours from fruit etc.

hmm what else has been happening....

• spent the weekend seeing family which was a nice change.
• bought some teeny baby clothes...although I have loads already that belonged to Quela..I felt I needed some new ones too for when the baby is born. I have to do a major wash at the laundrette. My machine won't get the baby clothes clean enough. My machine doesn't even have hot water..it's really had it!
• we bought a cheap rug for the living room which has made it look all clean. Won't stay that way!
• Quela took 5 steps..then in true Quela fashion hasn't done any more for days.
• it's midnight and Quela has just woken up..wide eyed and bushy tailed, singing boogie babies. arghh..I have to go...
