Freecycle

I joined freecycle recently, and love it so far.. I have given and received! :-)
BUT the other day I asked for some books, and was inundated with people giving me links to Amazon, EBAY, etc Well, erm, err, if I wanted to go buy the books I would have gone and bought them! The whole point of me asking on freecycle is that I wanted them but not badly enough to go spend money. Surely if I have heard of freecycle, then I'm probably aware of the existence of Amazon and Ebay? I know people are trying to be helpful..but what is the point of that really? When someone asks for a tv, I don't e-mail them and say "GO BUY ONE"..
